We said goodbye to 2011 and rang in the new year with a visit from our dear friends Megan and Ryan. The weekend consisted of lots of good food, booze, rousing games of Scrabble and Jenga, outdoor adventures (boys) and drinks by the fireplace (girls). It was a great way to welcome in 2012.
Henry's visit to the big city
To celebrate Henry's belated 5th birthday, we had the little fellow stay with us for the weekend. We had visions of the Lego store, zoo lights, and museums. We made it as far as the Lego store. Then he and Uncle Dylan played with said Lego the remainder of the weekend.

The Petersons visit Chicago
Despite the rainy winter day we still managed to see the Macy's windows, shop, pack our bellies, drink some booze, and be with good friends.
